Italian giants Inter are seemingly on the verge of signing Brazilian international midfielder Lucas Lima, who has been strongly linked to Barcelona.
Sky Sport Italia report the Nerazzurri as being “increasingly confident” of an agreement with the 26-year-old who is “practically one step away” from shaking hands with the Milanese giants.
It had been reported last month that the Santos midfielder had agreed a deal with Barca with his teammates openly congratulating him on the move, but it appears those reports were premature.
Lima has won 14 caps for his home country and is reported to previously have not only been tracked by the Catalans but also by Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
He becomes a free agent on 1 January 2018 but it appears the top flight Brazilian club would be willing to sell him for a minimal fee this summer.
