Sevilla have confirmed the exits of five players from their first-team squad from last season, four of whom were loanees that will return to their parent clubs.
Samir Nasri, Matias Kranevitter, Luciano Vietto and Stevan Jovetic will return to Manchester City, Atletico Madrid and Inter respectively, while Benoit Tremoulinas was released from his contract following long-term injury problems.
Tremoulinas did not play a minute of football last season due to a knee injury and is set to return to his native France.
Forwards Vietto and Jovetic both had options to buy of €20m and €14m respectively, but Atleti’s Vietto failed to settle at the club while negotiations for Jovetic did not find common ground with the Milanese giants.
Sevilla will retain 19 of their first-team squad from last season and have added Inter midfielder Ever Banega, with another busy summer in store under new sporting director Oscar Arias.
