FIFA have not yet received an official complaint from Brazilian club Santos over a reported illegal approach from Barcelona to Lucas Lima, it is reported.
According to ESPN Brasil, football’s governing body has yet to be formally contacted over the Catalan giants alleged approach for the Brazilian approach, despite Santos being ‘angry’ over media reports.
Earlier media speculation suggested the 26-year-old had already agreed to move to the Camp Nou in January, despite the midfielder not being able to hold talks with any other clubs until July.
A strained relationship already exists between the two club’s due to the handling of Neymar’s transfer in 2013 – when the Brazilians claimed they did not receive the full amount owned – and the Blaugrana missing out on Gabriel Barbosa to Inter last year despite having first choice.
