Real Betis midfielder Dani Ceballos admitted ‘it would be nice to play in Europe’ but reaffirmed his intention to honour his contract at the club.
The 20-year-old is reportedly a transfer target for both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid with his current deal at Estadio Benito Villamarin including a €12m release clause.
“I have three years left of my contract but it would be nice to play in Europe,” Ceballos is quoted as saying by Estadio Deportivo.
“I am aware there are a number of teams interested in me and I know that the current market exists, but I have a contract at Betis and I’m solely focused on the European Championships.
“I have people around who make sure that I keep my feet on the ground, it is fundamental to have humility and focus on work.”
