Real Betis have held discussions with Real Madrid over the possibility of a season-long loan deal for midfielder Marcos Llorente, say reports in Spain.
According to Diario AS, Betis vice president Lorenzo Serra Ferrer met with Jose Angel Sanchez – Madrid’s general director – on Friday at the Bernabeu in which the future of the 22-year-old was the main subject.
"I want to triumph at Madrid, but I wouldn't like to be on the bench, even if it is at the best club in the world," Llorente is quoted by the paper as having recently affirmed.
The Spanish Under 21 international completed 38 games in all competitions for Alaves last season during a hugely successful loan spell, helping them to a top-half finish and the Copa Del Rey final.
The Basque club would be interested in another loan agreement for Llorente should he once more be made available by Los Blancos.
