Barcelona’s Neymar is worth €98m more than Real Madrid rival Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the CIES Football Observatory.
Neymar is considered the most expensive player in world football at €210.7m, some €98.3m more than Ronaldo, who is ‘only’ €112.4m and not among the top 10.
CIES has not disclosed details of the algorithm it uses to work out player valuations, although AS reports age, transfer fees and income are accounted for.
Second in the list is Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli at €155.1m, followed by teammate Harry Kane (€153.3m)
Lionel Messi (€151.7m), Antoine Griezmann (€150.3m), Luis Suarez (€140.8m), Paul Pogba (€134.4m), Gonzalo Higuain (€120.2m), Eden Hazard (€117.2m) and Paulo Dybala (€115.3m) round off the top 10.
