Malaga are close to completing a deal for Swansea City striker Borja Baston in preparation for Sandro Ramirez’s impending departure, say reports in Spain.
According to Diario AS, the 24-year-old is the number one transfer target at La Rosaleda to replace the former Barcelona striker who is said to be in advanced talks with Everton, while a move to Atletico Madrid has not yet been discounted.
Borja joined the Welsh side last summer but netted only one Premier League goal in four starts as he struggled to break into the side under a succession of different managers.
The Swans signed the striker for €18m from Eibar last summer after he scored 18 La Liga goals in 29 starts and Malaga sporting director Arnau reportedly views him as a prime transfer target, hopeful of concluding a season-long loan deal.
