Alvaro Morata will be ‘spectacular’ for Manchester United should his transfer from Real Madrid be completed, according to Aitor Karanka.
The former Middlesbrough boss – who was number two to Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid when Morata was handed his professional debut – believes the Spain international will be a big hit in the Premier League.
"Alvaro fits anywhere," Karanka told Cadena Ser on Wednesday night when explaining what the 24-year-old would bring to the Red Devils.
"We knew since he was with us at the age of 19 (his talent) and I know him since he was 17 because he came to the Under 17 World Cup in Nigeria.
“Alvaro is the classic player that can fit anywhere. He has everything. The year he spent at Juventus was good for him to mature. For this (Premier League) football he is a spectacular player.
"David De Gea? This is football but he is happy in Manchester; he is very respected, he is comfortable here and he is not bad at Manchester either."
