Diego Costa is willing to accept not playing any first team football until January to force a move to Atletico Madrid, say reports in Spain.
According to Marca, the Spain international is set to accept sitting out six months of football to return to Los Rojiblancos, whom he left for Chelsea in 2014.
The 28-year-old has revealed Antonio Conte informed him that he has no future at Stamford Bridge next season while Julen Lopetegui will not consider excluding him if he is to sit out action with an Atletico return.
So keen is Diego Simeone to oversee Costa’s return he is willing to sanction a special training programme to allow the striker’s preparation for first-team action in January.
