Barcelona would be the ‘ideal destination’ for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti, according to Paolo Maldini.
The Milan and Italy legend believes the 24-year-old would suit the style of play at the Camp Nou and would be a good signing for Ernesto Valverde.
"Verratti is extraordinary, with qualities that I appreciate very much, and I think he is destined to improve if he leaves Paris to try a new experience," Maldini is quoted by Marca as telling Calciomercato.com.
"Barcelona would be, of course, an ideal destination for him and I think he too would be a perfect player for Barca."
The Italian international is said to have dined with Blaugrana star Lionel Messi in Ibiza on Wednesday.
