Eduardo Berizzo is hoping Nolito, who starred under him at Celta Vigo, will become one of his first new signings as Sevilla Coach.
The Manchester City forward was recently in Seville to discuss a possible loan move to the Andalucians following an unhappy year in Manchester.
"We have a good team and we are aiming to make it even greater," Berizzo told reporters.
"I like Nolito very much because I know him well. He has great quality and is very good in attack."
Meanwhile, the club are also hoping to find a ‘solution’ to Stevan Jovetic’s situation, the forward they loaned from Inter last season with sporting director Oscar Arias stating: "We are in negotiations with his agent to try and find a solution.
"It's not an easy negotiation because of the transfer cost and the player's wages."
There has also been speculation of player departures recently with both Vitolo (Atletico Madrid) and Steven N’Zonzi (Juventus) linked with moves away, but president Jose Castro said: "We don't want Vitolo or N'Zonzi to leave.”
