Las Palmas president Miguel Angel Ramirez has confirmed the club are working on a deal to extend Paris Saint-Germain forward Jese Rodriguez’s loan spell.
The former Real Madrid forward spent four months on loan at his hometown club after failing to make an impression in the French capital and last month said he wanted to extend his stay with Los Amarillos.
"He and his agent know of our interest in him continuing at Las Palmas for another season," Ramirez told Radio Onda Cero.
"It would be very good for him to stay and do the preseason with Las Palmas, if he wants to return to be the important player he was, Las Palmas could be a good option for him.
"This is where we are at. We have to wait and see what happens."
The 24-year-old made only one Ligue 1 start in Paris before returning to La Liga, where he scored three goals in 16 appearances.
