Antoine Griezmann has committed his long-term future to Atletico Madrid by agreeing a new deal until June 2022, according to president Enrique Cerezo.
The French forward’s current deal at Los Rojiblancos was due to run until June 2021 and his current release clause of €100m is set to remain in place.
"Yes, it's one more year and the release clause will remain the same,” Cerezo confirmed to Cadena Ser.
"The issue of the money is a private one. We have maintained a confidentiality agreement with respect to the money."
The 26-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United earlier this window and said the chances of him moving to the Red Devils were ‘six out of 10’ before their transfer ban appeal was rejected by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
