Sevilla are attempting to complete deals for Manchester City forward Nolito and former winger Jesus Navas, president Jose Castro has confirmed.
31-year-old Navas is sixth in the club’s list of all-time appearances with 395, only 18 shy of record appearance holder Pablo Blanco while Nolito held a meeting with sporting director Oscar Arias in Seville last week.
"We know what we want and we want to bring back Jesus Navas, he is a fantastic player" Castro explained on Cadena Ser radio.
"It was a coincidental meeting (between Nolito and Arias), but that doesn't take away the fact that if we can, we would like to sign him.
"We can't say anything until coach Berizzo arrives although we have already spoken to him about certain issues.
"Vitolo? He has three years left on his contract and we want him to stay, however, if Vitolo wants to leave and someone wants him, the only formula to do so is for someone to pay his release clause.
“I can't be any clearer, we are not going to negotiate anything."
Navas was one of a number of players who will be released by City at the end of this month, while Nolito is thought to be available on a loan deal.
