Manchester United have had a €60m bid for striker Alvaro Morata knocked back by Real Madrid, according to reports.
Sky Sports state the Red Devils were confident of landing the striker but have been taken aback by the Spanish champions demanding €85m for the Spanish international.
United boss Jose Mourinho handed Morata his Madrid debut when he was in charge at the Bernabeu and the 24-year-old is reportedly keen to work alongside the Portuguese Coach once more.
The Spaniard netted 15 goals in just 14 La Liga starts last season following his return to the club from Juventus last summer but is keen for more first-team football and is set to leave this summer.
Torino striker Andrea Bellotti is also said to be on United’s radar – the Italian has a €95m release clause at the Turin side.
