Iago Aspas is hopeful Celta Vigo will make their loan signing of Fulham midfielder Jozabed Sanchez permanent this summer.
The Galicians and the English Championship side agreed there would be a €5m purchase option in the summer although Celta are reportedly unwilling to pay that amount.
"He wants to stay and the rest of his teammates want him to stay because he is an exceptional guy,” Aspas told Radio Galega.
"I gave the club my opinion, and that is that I want him to remain.
"His release clause has to be lowered because it's quite high but we hope that, as the transfer window continues, everything returns to its place and that we can made a good offer to get him back.
“It would be good to keep our main players."
The 26-year-old netted twice for Celta in 19 La Liga outings since his January loan deal from Fulham, whom he joined from Rayo Vallecano.
