Manchester City forward Nolito appears to have his heart set on a return to Spain and Sevilla are reportedly now in the lead for his signature.
According to the Daily Mail, the Andalucians have moved ahead in the race for the 30-year-old in a loan deal which would be similar to the one agreed last summer between the clubs for Samir Nasri.
City apparently would be happy to sanction a loan move as long as the Spain international’s wages – €120,000 per week – were paid in full, which Los Rojiblancos could offer in a way city rivals Betis and Nolito’s former club Celta Vigo could not.
Eduardo Berizzo – Nolito’s former Coach at Celta for three seasons – is set to take the reins at Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan and this could well act as a catalyst for such a move coming to fruition.
