Sevilla and prospective new Coach Eduardo Berizzo remain ‘very far apart’ and the club are now ‘seeking alternatives’, say reports in Spain.
According to Marca, both the club and Berizzo – who left Celta Vigo last month – are not close to agreeing a deal which would see him replace Jorge Sampaoli at Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan.
"We will continue with the intention of moving closer towards a deal but honestly, at the moment we are very far apart," Marca quoted an unnamed representative of the Coach.
Sevilla had been keen on hiring Berizzo quickly following Sampaoli’s departure for maximum planning ahead of next season, while Mauricio Pellegrino – who left Alaves after the Copa del Rey final – is another name reportedly in the frame.
