Atletico Madrid will relaunch their attempts to sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette when their transfer ban is lifted, revealed Antoine Griezmann.
Lacazette stated he was ‘at a crossroads’ last week after Lyon club president Jean-Michel Aulas revealed there was a ‘verbal agreement’ with Atletico over a summer transfer.
However, Los Rojiblancos have since seen their appeal for overturning their transfer ban turned down, meaning they cannot sign players until the January transfer window.
"Yes it is a shame for him, because he would have come but in December, we will be knocking on the door again,” Griezmann told an interview with Telefoot.
26-year-old Lacazette netted 28 Ligue 1 goals last campaign and has long been linked with a move away from the French side.
