Real Betis have completed the signing of striker Sergio Leon from Osasuna for a reported €3.5m.
Leon has put pen to paper on a four-year contract with Betis, in what is a homecoming for the attacker, who began his career at Benito Villamarin.
The 28-year-old scored 10 goals in 33 appearances for Osasuna last season, his first in La Liga, but was unable to prevent the Pamplonans from making a quick return to the second tier.
He becomes Los Verdiblancos’ first signing of the summer, while new Sporting Gijon sporting director Miguel Torrecilla has confirmed that his former club are interested in young centre-back Jorge Mere.
