Arsenal are set to reignite their interest in Malaga midfielder Pablo Fornals and see him as a replacement for Santi Cazorla, according to reports.
Marca have previously linked the Gunners to the 21-year-old, who has netted six times in 31 La Liga appearances and has a release clause ‘between €10-12m’.
The Daily Mirror has now reported twice this month that Arsene Wenger is keen on the talented Spaniard and confirmed reports in Marca that he has extensively sent scouts to monitor Fornals progress.
Most comfortable playing in an advanced midfield role and capped once by Spain, Fornals contract at La Rosaleda runs until June 2019.
The North London side are hopeful of finding a replacing for Cazorla, who was initially signed from the Costa del Sol in 2012.
