Atletico Madrid striker Kevin Gameiro is reportedly considering an “irresistible” offer from an unnamed Chinese club.
According to Marca, the offer has already prompted Atleti to look for possible replacements, with Olympique Lyonnais’ Alexandre Lacazette the “favourite”.
The newspaper explains Lyon value the attacker at €40m, meaning the Madrid club will look to recoup a similar fee for Gameiro.
Consequently, Marca claims Los Rojiblancos have asked the Frenchman to delay any departure until next winter.
Gameiro joined Atleti for €32m from Sevilla last summer, but despite scoring 14 goals this season, he has failed to truly convince Coach Diego Simeone.
His predecessor Jackson Martinez swapped the Vicente Calderon for China midway through last term, having netted just three times in the first half of the campaign.
