Stevan Jovetic reveals he told his agent to finalise his loan move to Sevilla ‘as soon as possible’ such was his eagerness to join the club.
The 27-year-old moved to the Andalucians from Italian side Inter Milan in January and has netted twice in eight league appearances for Los Rojiblancos.
“Since I was little I’ve always watched La Liga and Spanish football – I’ve liked it forever,” the Montenegrin forward told La Liga’s website.
“I’ve now decided to try a new adventure here at Sevilla because everyone I spoke too rated the Coach, the club’s fans and the football very highly – now I can see that everything is true.
“When I received the call from Sevilla I went on the internet to see the next games they had and when I saw they had three games against Real Madrid in the space of 15 days, I called my agent and told him we had to go as soon as possible because those are the games you want to be involved in as a player.”
Jovetic came on as a substitute twice at Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan against Madrid, scoring on his debut in the 3-3 Copa del Rey draw before netting a memorable late winner three days later in La Liga.
