Villarreal are reportedly set for a striker shake-up as Alexandre Pato and Rafael Santos Borre prepare to make way for Adrian Lopez and Felipe Caicedo.
According to Marca, Pato is in Italy to join up with Chinese side Tianjin Quanjian, who are in the country for preseason and “hours away” from signing the former Milan attacker.
Adrian, meanwhile, has already completed a return to La Ceramica on a six-month loan from Porto, and he could be joined by Espanyol’s Caicedo.
The Ecuador international has scored just once for Los Periquitos this season, yet that has not stopped interest from the Yellow Submarine, reports the newspaper.
Finally, Portuguese publication Record claims Atleti are ready to pull the plug on Borre’s loan after his lack of impact for Villarreal and have offered the Colombian to Braga.
