Roberto Soriano is enjoying life at Villarreal and admits he prefers playing in Spain to Italy's Serie A.
The midfielder moved to El Madrigal from Sampdoria last year and has impressed during his time with the Yellow Submarine, helping the club challenge for the Champions League places.
"I only have good words," Soriano said during an interview with Marca. "I am very happy to play for Villarreal
"There are very good players in this dressing room. Playing in this team makes you enjoy football."
The 25-year-old was then asked whether he sees any difference between football in Spain and his homeland of Italy. He responded by praising the atmosphere in matches at his new home, as well as expressing his belief that LaLiga offers more opportunities for creative players to shine.
"I see a very strong League, stronger than in Italy. We are hoping to improve even more in the second half of the season and compete with the best.
"It is a very enjoyable style of football, very technical. There are also lots of people in the stadiums, there is always a great atmosphere.
"I hope to play here in Spain for many more years, maybe at Villarreal. We technical players enjoy it here more than in calcio, where physicality and tactics come first.
"Here, they play offensive football."
