Las Palmas boss Quique Setien has signalled that controversial striker Sergio Araujo will be allowed to leave the club to ‘turn his life around’.
The 24-year-old was given a nine-month suspended prison sentence and banned from driving for two years in November after being found guilty of drink-driving, yet was arrested earlier in the week for reportedly drink-driving again.
The striker has been left out of the Las Palmas squad for their clash with Deportivo La Coruna on Friday night
"He needs to make a change and a turn his life around – I do not think that it is possible for him to do that here, at the moment,” explained Setien.
“The best thing for him is to find a team where he can really demonstrate the skills he has and to get his mentality right.
"He is a player that has been very important in this club and in this team, but we are old enough to know that these actions have consequences and we cannot ignore them."
A home win would take Las Palmas up two places to 8th, while Depor could would require a win to climb one place from 15th.
