Real Betis are attempting to land former Barcelona midfielder Alen Halilovic on a loan deal from German side until the end of the season, say reports.
AS believe Los Verdiblancos have prioritised the signing of the Croatian, who has also reportedly interested Italian side AS Roma and other La Liga clubs.
The Croat has completed just 137 minutes of playing time in six league outings for the German club along with a 27-minute cameo appearance in the German Cup.
The 20-year-old joined the Bundesliga side in August following two years at Barcelona, which included a season-long loan spell at Sporting Gijon in the 2015-16 campaign.
