Stevan Jovetic believes Sevilla has a ‘family atmosphere’ and believes it is the ideal setting for him to get his career ‘back on track’.
The Europa League winners agreed a loan deal until the end of the season with Inter Milan but Los Rojiblancos confirmed they have a buyout option which is reported to be in the region of €14m.
“There’s a family atmosphere, a fine Coach: that is why I agreed to come here,” Jovetic explained in his introductory press conference.
“I came to Sevilla because it’s a great club with a strong team with a brilliant manager who are in the Champions League and are fighting at the top of the table in La Liga
“I spoke to Samir Nasri too and he spoke very highly of the club.
“I’m in good shape – I’ve been training every day with Inter, I’ll talk to the Coach and we’ll decide what to do.”
The Montenegrin forward was then asked why he had struggled for game time at both Manchester City and Inter, following on from his fine form at Fiorentina.
“When I arrived in England, I had a lot of injury problems and therefore was never able to play consistently,” he explained.
“At Inter, on the other hand, I did well for the first six months, then gradually got fewer and fewer opportunities to play.
“Will I get back on track? I think so. We’ll do our best to go forward in the Champions League and finish in the top three or four in La Liga.
“I am not setting limits on myself, I just want to score and get assists, the more the merrier.”
