Lionel Messi is expected to return to the Barcelona starting eleven for their Champions League clash with Celtic on Wednesday night.
The Argentine forward missed his side’s scoreless draw with Malaga at the weekend after picking up a vomiting bug which ensured he spent Friday night and Saturday morning being sick, however it is reported in the Catalan press that the worst of the illness had passed by Sunday and he returned to training on Monday.
Luis Suarez will also return to the Blaugrana line-up after missing Saturday’s match through suspension, with the duo starting up top alongside Neymar, with Paco Alcacer among those to drop out of the team.
Jordi Alba is also expected to be brought back into the starting side in place of Lucas Digne, while Gerard Pique and Jeremy Mathieu are also expected to be involved.
Barca are still without captain Andres Iniesta and French defender Samuel Umtiti, although both could return ahead of schedule in time for El Clasico on 3 December.
A win at Celtic Park would guarantee their place in the last sixteen of the competition.
