Sevilla are reportedly planning to bring back Carlos Bacca in January after being alerted to the striker’s “strained” relationship with Milan.
According to Estadio Deportivo, the signing of a pure No 9 is Sevilla’s priority this winter, and the option that “best fits the club’s sporting and economic parameters” is Bacca, who left for Milan in a €30m transfer last year.
The newspaper explains the Andalusians are “hoping” to take advantage of his current situation, which has arisen after several disagreements with Milan boss Vincenzo Montella.
The Colombian kicked up a fuss when he was substituted in a match against Pescara on October 30, which the Coach acknowledged at a subsequent Press conference, and was taken off again in the side’s next game.
Consequently, Sevilla are monitoring the situation and could negotiate a loan deal for their former player.
Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with the forward, but Sevilla is where he won back-to-back Europa Leagues and netted 49 times in 108 appearances between 2013 and 2015, while his family “would love” a return to the Sanchez Pizjuan.
