Espanyol want to make Valencia-owned Pablo Piatti's loan deal at the club from permanent according to reports in the Spanish press.
The Argentine winger joined the Catalans on a season-long loan deal in July after making 162 appearances for Valencia across five seasons.
Super Deporte report Espanyol boss Quique Sanchez Flores is a big admirer of the 27-year-old, who has scored three goals and provided five assists in his seven league appearances this season.
It is reported that Los Che would be happy to sell Piatti, who moved to Spain in 2008 when he joined Almeria from Estudiantes, before moving to the Mestalla three seasons later.
A clause exists in the loan deal which would allow Espanyol to sign the Argentine for €1.3m.
