Sevilla have confirmed a risk of “hamstring damage” for Samir Nasri after the attacking midfielder was forced off against Sporting Gijon on Saturday.
Nasri was unable to return for the second half of Sevilla’s 1-1 draw with Sporting in La Liga after he pulled up in the latter stages of the first, and there are fears that the Manchester City loanee may have suffered a serious injury.
“The Frenchman Samir Nasri is waiting for MRI scans in 24-48 hours due to possible muscle damage in his left hamstring at the end of the first half,” read a statement on Andalusians’ official website.
Wissam Ben Yedder and Mariano are also doubts for Wednesday’s Champions League game against Dinamo Zagreb due to an ankle sprain and a hamstring pull respectively.
