Sevilla coach Jorge Sampaoli believes his side lack urgency in the final third ahead of his side’s clash with Olympique Lyonnais.
The Argentine boss has endured a mixed start to his career at the club, with last week’s narrow derby victory sandwiched between a draw at 10-man Eibar and a loss at Athletic Bilbao, while their Champions League campaign got off to a solid start following a goalless draw in Turin.
“We lack aggressiveness in the final third of the pitch, we have possession but we are missing that extra element,” said the 56-year-old.
“Playing every three days gives you the opportunity to bounce back quickly after a defeat, but we will need to have patience and precision with our attacks.
“We have to manage to hurt teams more with our possession – it needs to start deeper and be more damaging to the opposition. We will look at our system and our starting eleven again.”
