Antoine Griezmann admits he would consider leaving Atletico Madrid if Diego Simeone ceased to be Coach.
Griezmann ended speculation about his future by signing a new contract with Atleti in June, but the Frenchman hinted he may not have put pen to paper if Simeone had walked after last season’s lost Champions League final.
“I called [Simeone] before extending my contract and he confirmed he was staying,” the forward told Telefoot.
“For me, it was important to know that, being at a club with a Coach who trusted me.
“I’m happy in Spain and I can still learn a lot from Simeone.
“I’d only think about leaving if Simeone left for PSG or wherever.”
