Director of football Monchi says Samir Nasri’s loan move will be Sevilla’s final piece of transfer activity this summer.
The French midfielder is said to be undergoing a medical in Andalusia ahead of completing a temporary switch from Manchester City.
The Rojiblancos have been busy in the market, with arrivals and departures aplenty as new Coach Jorge Sampaoli looks to mould a squad capable of competing in the Champions League.
“We are finalising the transfer of Nasri,” Monchi said at the Press conference to present another new loan signing, goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu.
“We are negotiating with the player and City and trying to close the deal.
“If we get Nasri, we will have got the player we have been looking for from the start. If we get him in the end, we would have the piece of the jigsaw that the boss [Sampaoli] asked for.
“I don’t think that there will be anymore movement.”
Monchi also confirmed that forward Juan Munoz has been allowed to join Real Zaragoza on loan.
