Valencia have identified Liverpool’s Luis Alberto as a possible replacement should Paco Alcacer move to Barcelona.
Super Deporte says sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch could turn to Alberto if Alcacer leaves for Camp Nou after the forward impressed in the past two seasons on loan at Malaga, then Deportivo La Coruna.
Alberto could be available for €3m as he is entering the final year of his contract with the Reds, though a report earlier in the week suggested Liverpool valued the 23-year-old at €6m and wanted to include him in an approach for Shkodran Mustafi.
