Villarreal have announced the signing of winger Nicola Sansone from Sassuolo for a reported €13m.
Sansone has put pen to paper on a five-year contract with Villarreal and already joined up with his new teammates at their Lugo training base.
The 24-year-old is German-born and passed through Bayern Munich’s youth academy but represents Italy at international level like fellow new arrival Roberto Soriano.
He ends his two-and-a-half years with Sassuolo having scored 20 goals in 88 appearances.
Sansone, who predominantly plays on the left wing but can also operate on the right and through the middle, is the second player to leave the Neroverdi for La Liga this summer after Sime Vrsaljko, who joined Atletico Madrid last month.
