Valencia centre-back Shkodran Mustafi has emerged as a target for Arsenal after Per Mertesacker’s long-term injury.
Mertesacker is to miss a reported five months and Plaza Deportiva claim the Gunners are the latest club to go for Germany international Mustafi, after links to Chelsea and Milan earlier in the summer.
It’s suggested that Los Che still need to offload players to balance the books, and with a clause of €50m Valencia may be able to hold out for the full amount.
Mustafi is reported to be considering a move away from Mestalla but his clause and three-year contract mean he wouldn’t be sold on the cheap.
