Alvaro Negredo has joined the Spanish enclave at Premier League new boys Middlesbrough, leaving Valencia on a season-long loan.
Negredo follows Antonio Barragan and Victor Valdes in signing on with Aitor Karanka’s side for the new season, the Teeside club confirming the 30-year-old will be brought in subject to the paperwork on the deal being completed.
Boro are currently preparing for the new season in Marbella, where they were beaten by Real Betis in a friendly.
Negredo will join up with his new teammates in Andalusia, including Spaniards Daniel Ayala and Tomas Meijas and Palma-born Equatorial Guinea international Emilio Nsue, as well as Barragan and Valdes.
