Pako Ayestaran wants Valencia to keep hold of Dani Parejo and Javi Fuego amid the fire sale at Mestalla.
Pablo Piatti, Antonio Barragan and Yoel have all already left and Alvaro Negredo, Rodrigo De Paul and Andre Gomes could be next, Negredo bound for Middlesbrough, De Paul reportedly joining Udinese and Gomes wanted by Real Madrid.
AS reports however that Ayestaran, confirmed as Coach at the end of last season, has insisted on Parejo, described as ‘un-transferable,’ and Fuego being retained.
Parejo’s status would change if Los Che received an offer of stunning magnitude and he is casting glances elsewhere, with Sevilla his primary admirers, but Valencia are refusing to discuss a sale.
Fuego, meanwhile, as caught the attention of Sporting Gijon and Espanyol and sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch could listen to an offer from the latter of €2m for a player in the last year of his contract.
Ayestaran though holds Fuego in high regard and the solution could be to offer a one-year extension to the veteran.
