Carlos Bacca is the latest name touted for Atletico Madrid, the Milan striker said to fit the sporting and economic requirements of Los Colchoneros.
AS cites Cadena Ser in claiming the Colombia international is close to going to Vicente Calderon ahead of the new season, 12 months after leaving La Liga for Serie A.
Bacca previously represented Sevilla and a fee of €30m is quoted to return the 29-year-old to Spain, a figure within Atletico’s reach.
He is also said to match the profile of forward Diego Simeone is looking for and the deal could be pushed through in time for the start of the new campaign.
