Deportivo La Coruna President Tino Fernandez stopped short of confirming Paco Jemez ‘but he is a great Coach with La Liga experience.’
Jemez is expected to take the vacancy at Riazor left by the sacking of Victor Sanchez del Amo but Fernandez told reporters he hasn’t personally been in contact with the Rayo Vallecano tactician.
“I haven’t spoken of names but [Jemez] is a great Coach, with experience in the Primera and that meets our requirements. Sure, there are Coaches [of greater status] but I’ve had no contact with them, it’s the sporting director that has,” AS quotes Fernandez as saying, with June 15 targeted for a confirmed appointment.
“We have time, we’re on time. It’s not like when you change Coaches in the middle of the competition,” he added.
