Deportivo La Coruna have confirmed they have ended the contract of Victor Sanchez del Amo as Coach.
Victor was appointed in April 2015 and steered Depor to safety in their first season back in the Primera, relegation being avoided on the final day of the campaign at Camp Nou.
The Galicians started strongly in 2015-16 but tailed off to slip into the relegation battle in the latter weeks of the season, ending the year in 15th, four points clear of safety.
A former Depor midfielder, Victor made more than 200 appearances for the club between 1999 and 2006, having started his playing career at Real Madrid. He also turned out for Racing Santander, Panathinaikos and Elche and won eight caps for Spain.
