Dani Alves’ agent insists the defender has ‘no plans’ to leave Barcelona despite confirming an offer from Juventus.
It was on Wednesday reported that Alves was to exercise a clause in his contract that allowed a free transfer departure before June 5 and sign for the Serie A champions but Dinorah Santana, the Brazilian’s representative and ex-wife, has told Mundo Deportivo that isn’t the case.
The Catalan publication cites Santana as assuring that Alves has ‘no plans’ to quit Camp Nou as he is ‘happy at the club and in the city,’ ‘satisfied with his role’ and ‘convinced he can win more trophies.’
Santana did confirm offers for Alves from both Juve and Turkish giants Galatasaray but said they weren’t considered even though he can go for free.
Alves’ intention is said to be to see out the final year of his Barca contract and perhaps stay for one more, until 2018, as his contract will be automatically extended if he plays 50% of games in 2016-17.
