Kevin Gameiro ‘couldn’t be happier’ after scoring on a ‘magical night’ as Sevilla retained the Europa League against Liverpool.
Gameiro equalised moments after the start of the second half after Daniel Sturridge put the Reds in front and a brace from Coke ensured the trophy remains at Nervion.
“He was the man of the match,” Gameiro said of the captain after the match, AS reports.
“I’m very happy. To score a goal in a final for this club is magnificent. We’ve entered the history of football. We recovered well after Liverpool’s goal. Our reaction was very good. I couldn’t be happier. It’s been a magical night.”
