A report from Germany claims Barcelona’s international sporting director Ariedo Braida was at Borussia Dortmund-Bayern Munich watching David Alaba.
Sport cites Bild as saying Braida has been taking note of a number of Bundesliga players but suggests Austria international Alaba is high on the agenda.
There’s a feeling Barca will need to add to their full-back options in defence if Adriano leaves, and Alaba has played left-back under Pep Guardiola, while he is also comfortable in midfield.
Dani Alves has also been linked with a lucrative move to China and that is part of Braida’s summer thinking.
But Alaba is courted by a number of European clubs, Sport adds, so Barca face competition if they pursue the 23-year-old.
