Christian Atsu is ‘ready and eager’ to prove himself after joining Malaga on loan from Premier League Chelsea.
Ghana international Atsu had been on loan at Bournemouth but the move was cancelled ahead of the winter window, the former Porto player also having been sent to Everton and Vitesse Arnhem since joining the London club.
“I’ve had my first training session and it went well. I met the Coach and my teammates,” Atsu said at his official presentation, Malaga’s website reports.
“I’m ready and eager to prove things at Malaga. It’s true I always feel confident with the national team. That’s important when you have to show your football, and I hope to do that at Malaga.
“Malaga is a fantastic club with great fans and I saw that when I came here with Porto. I think I’ll be very happy here. It was my decision to come.
“I’m fast, technical, I’ll work hard and I can play in different attacking positions. Every League is different but a lot of people know the Spanish League.
“Fast and technical football is played and I think I can adapt. My aim is to bring this club as high as it can go, to do my best and to get minutes.”
