Paco Jemez believes Rayo Vallecano will stay in La Liga if they can produce more performances akin to Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Celta Vigo.
Goals from Nicolas Fedor, Tito Triguero and Jozabed Sanchez earned a shock win for Los Vallecanos, their first in 10 games, to move out of the bottom three, and the Coach felt his side were finally being rewarded for their good play.
“It was a very complete game,” he said after the game.
“We had chances to score, but the most important thing was to transmit good feelings and accompany them with a good result.
“This is the way to go. We’ll find things easier if we follow it.
“It’s a day to rejoice all the good things the team did.
“I knew we were doing good things and that we were being punished for the bad things.
“I wasn’t too worried. The little things we did wrong penalised us a lot.
“My idea was for us to end our [winless] streak. Now we’ll see if we can make this win count against Deportivo.
“Our situation won’t change in a week or two, but I’m confident we’ll get out of it.
“The best yardstick is that the fans went home happy.
“[On Lass Bangoura’s future], Lass and the President Felipe [Minambres] know my opinion on the matter.
“I won’t say if he’ll leave or not.”
