Porto have allowed Barcelona loanee Cristian Tello to cut his two-year arrangement short and join Fiorentina.
The attacker has become surplus to requirements at Dragao in the wake of Julen Lopetegui’s dismissal, while La Blaugrana have no plans of recalling him, despite their search for a player in his position.
“Cristian Tello can hypothetically leave [Porto] for Fiorentina,” Porto President Pinto da Costa was quoted as saying by Marca.
The newspaper adds La Viola will sign Tello on loan until the end of the season and retain Porto’s €8m purchase option.
The 24-year-old is expected to replace Giuseppe Rossi, who left for Levante earlier on Friday.
