Boca Juniors President Daniel Angelici insists Real Madrid haven’t made an offer for Rodrigo Bentancur, but he’s open to receiving one.
AS notes it was claimed in the Argentine Press that Los Blancos had approached Boca for the 18-year-old, but Angelici said there’s nothing official from Santiago Bernabeu.
“We haven’t received any formal proposal from Madrid for Bentancur,” he reportedly told TyCSports.
“The [€10m] figure being used isn’t correct. The clause is lower than what is being discussed. There’s a lot of talk but I want to see a written proposal.
“If it comes I’ll analyse it because it would be very convenient for the club and the player.”
AS notes that Juventus were keen on the Uruguayan when selling Carlos Tevez to Boca but Boca rejected a swap.
It’s also suggested that Madrid will move for Bentancur this month as they’re facing a FIFA transfer embargo that would prevent signings in the summer or next January.
Bentancur would return to Boca on loan until the summer of 2017, AS add.
